West Indies women’s team player

A big news related to the West Indies women’s cricket team has come out. A player who retired from international cricket in the year 2022 has taken a big decision. This player has withdrawn her retirement. This player had left international cricket citing the bad atmosphere of the team. But before the 2024 T20 World Cup, this player has announced her comeback. This player also holds the record for scoring the fastest century in T20I women’s cricket.

Return from retirement after 2 years

West Indies star all-rounder Deandra Dottin has returned from retirement. Deandra Dottin is known by the nickname ‘World Boss’ in women’s cricket. Deandra Dottin created a sensation by scoring a century in just 38 balls against South Africa in the 2010 T20 World Cup. Deandra is considered one of the most dangerous female cricketers in the world in white ball cricket. Apart from batting, she has also proved to be lethal for the opposing team in bowling.

Dottin, who has scored five centuries in international cricket, is ready to play for the West Indies again. Now she will be part of the West Indies camp in August 2024 and will also lead the Trinbago Knight Riders in the Women’s CPL ahead of the T20 World Cup. Dottin said in a letter to Cricket West Indies that representing the West Indies in international cricket has always been a matter of great pride and passion for me. After discussions with various parties of Cricket West Indies, including Cricket West Indies President Dr. Kishore Shalo, I am happy to inform you that I am looking forward to returning to the game I love.

Deandra Dottin’s illustrious career

Deandra Dottin played her last match against Team India in August 2022 and after that suddenly announced her retirement. After making her debut in 2008, she played 124 T20 Internationals and 143 ODIs for the West Indies. During this, she has scored 3727 ODI runs at an average of 30.54, which includes three centuries. She has 2697 runs in T20 Internationals to her name.
