Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said in Ludhiana on Thursday that it is the duty of the player’s coach and support staff to maintain the weight of the wrestlers within the prescribed norms. Mann said that they get huge salaries from the government treasury. Mann said that he had visited Vinesh’s house in Charkhi Dadri a few days ago.
Vinesh’s petition dismissed
The Paris Olympics’ Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on Wednesday rejected Vinesh Phogat’s petition in which she had appealed against her disqualification from the final due to being 100 grams overweight. With this, Vinesh’s dream of winning the Olympic silver medal has been shattered.
