New Delhi. The Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh has welcomed the interim budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today, particularly appreciating the provisions for ASHA and Anganwadi workers. 1. The budget has been announced keeping in mind the long term development of the country.
2. In the new tax calculation system, no tax was to be levied up to Rs. 3 lakh. This exemption limit has been increased from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 7 lakh. That means there will be no tax up to Rs 7 lakh. People coming in this tax slab will get estimated 5 percent tax relief.
3. Anganwadi centers will be upgraded.
4. Asha and Anganwadi sisters will come under the ambit of “Ayushman Bharat”.
5. There has been discussion on strengthening the benefits of providing 78 lakh street vendors, Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana, Aganwadi, Asha, jobs to fishermen (up to 55 lakh) etc.
6. Middle class did not get tax board relief.
7.It was announced to implement a new housing scheme for the middle class.
8. Provision for 11 percent increase in infrastructure has been made in the budget. Due to this, employment opportunities will also increase.
9.There is a provision in the budget for startups.
