Chatra: There was an uproar at an RJD program in Chatra district of Jharkhand on Friday. According to reports, at least 3 policemen were injured while trying to control the crowd during the Holi Milan event organized by the party. Giving information about this, an officer said that during the program some mischievous elements had started creating ruckus, and when the policemen tried to pacify them, stones started being pelted at them. He told that a female artist has also been injured in this disturbance.
Miscreants pelted stones at policemen
According to reports, RJD, a constituent of the state’s ruling alliance, had organized this district level Holi Milan program in Datmi village of Hunterganj police station area, about 200 km from Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi. Minister Satyanand Bhokta also participated in the program. Police said that after Bhokta left the venue, some mischievous elements started creating ruckus during the concert of a Bhojpuri singer. Hunterganj police station in-charge Sanoj Kumar Chaudhary said, ‘The miscreants tried to create ruckus on the stage. When the policemen tried to pacify them, they were pelted with stones.
RJD demanded strict action
Chaudhary said that he also suffered minor injuries. He said, ‘Sub Inspector Dilip Yadav, IRB jawan Avinash Kumar and a female artist were seriously injured. Mischievous elements are being identified and action will be taken against them soon. RJD’s Chatra District President Naval Kishore Yadav said that a musical program was organized by the party on the occasion of Holi Milan program. Yadav said, ‘Some anti-social elements tried to disrupt the programme. The police administration should take strict action against the culprits. (Language)
