New Delhi. An important development was seen on Friday in the case of the dispute over the historic Bhojshala located in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh. The Hindu side has filed a petition in the Supreme Court in this matter. In this petition, a demand has been made to remove the ban imposed by the Supreme Court on the Madhya Pradesh High Court taking any decision on the basis of the ASI survey. The Supreme Court had issued this order on April 1.

The Hindu side says that the mosque committee had come to the Supreme Court demanding a stay on the ASI investigation, but the ASI investigation has been completed and the ASI has also filed the investigation report in the High Court. The Hindu side said that the ASI has filed a 2047-page report, in which it has been claimed that many signs of Sanatan culture have been found. The Hindu side said that in the interest of justice, the Supreme Court should withdraw its interim order so that the hearing of the case can proceed in the High Court.

What is the controversy of Bhojshala?
The dispute over Bhojshala located in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh is somewhat similar to Ayodhya. This place is currently under the control of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). Both Hindus and Muslims claim their rights over it. The Hindu side claims that there is a temple of Maa Saraswati at this place. Bhojshala was originally built by King Bhoj in the 11th century. The Hindu side says that at that time Muslims were allowed to offer namaz here for some time, but later they occupied the entire complex and built a mosque there. On the other hand, the Muslim side has been calling it Kamal Maula’s mosque.
