New Delhi. A major accident has happened in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh. During the procession of Barawafat here, 6 people lost their lives due to high voltage current. There is also news of 2 people getting injured in this accident.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s reaction has also come to the fore on this incident that took place during the procession of Barafat in Bahraich district. Expressing grief over the accident, CM Yogi expressed his condolences to the families of the victims. In view of the seriousness of the matter, CM Yogi has also directed the DM and senior police officers to reach the spot.

Giving information on the incident, Bahraich Police said, “After the Barafat procession under Thana Nanpara area, 05 people have died on the spot due to accidental touching of the high voltage line passing above the flag pipe on the handcart. After inspecting the spot, the injured were immediately sent to the hospital for treatment.”
