Ratlam | The Bihar STF team, which went out to catch the wanted criminal in Gandhidham, Gujarat, fell victim to an accident in Ratlam on Tuesday. The STF Scorpio, which was going at a high speed on the Delhi-Mumbai eight lane expressway, overturned uncontrollably. In this painful accident, two soldiers died on the spot, while four others were injured.
The condition of one of the injured is said to be critical, which was referred to Indore after first aid. The remaining three injured soldiers have also been shifted from Ratlam to Indore.
According to Ratlam SP Amit Kumar, Bihar STF team left from Gaya. His mission was to apprehend a notorious criminal in Gandhidham, Gujarat. Meanwhile, an accident occurred on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway near Ratlam.
The dead include Sub Inspector Mukund Murari, who was an officer of the 2018 batch and a resident of Bakhtiyarpur in Patna district. Mukund started the police service in 2015 as a soldier and was currently posted in Patna STF.
The second martyred soldier was constable Vikas Kumar, who was a resident of Jehanabad district of Bihar.
As soon as the accident was reported, the local police reached the spot and the injured were rushed to the hospital immediately. The cause of the accident is being investigated.
