New Delhi. Acting immediately on intelligence inputs, Border Security Force (BSF) personnel have recovered a huge quantity of narcotics in Sepahijala district of Tripura. Its cost is being said to be more than one crore rupees. The officials gave this information on Tuesday. According to BSF officials, based on intelligence inputs, the army cordoned off the area and launched a search operation. During this, traces of a big drum buried in the soil were found.
When the soil was dug up, 13 plastic drums filled with dried hemp were found. During the operation, Tripura Police was also present.
In Tripura, 474 kg of ganja worth Rs 21,95,000 was recovered from a house in Rangamati village of Sepahijala district.
BSF and Tripura Police also recovered 16,000 yaba tablets worth Rs 80,00,000, 439 bottles of escuf syrup worth Rs 82,950 and 2.6 grams of brown sugar worth Rs 78,000.
Officials said the seized narcotics would be handed over to the agencies concerned. So that necessary action can be taken as per law.
