According to the information, four people including two Chinese nationals have been arrested at Indira Gandhi International Airport on charges of smuggling gold worth Rs 5.45 crore. Customs department officials have given this information. The accused were stopped at the airport on Tuesday after coming from Hong Kong. Customs department officials said that along with a thorough search of the accused’s luggage, their clothes were also searched. During the search, 8.2 kg of gold was recovered from them, whose market value has been estimated to be Rs 5.45 crore.

When the officials searched him, 860.38 grams of gold was recovered. Its value was reported to be Rs 55 lakh.
