New Delhi. At present, Vande Bharat Express has become the favorite train of passengers. It is being operated from most of the states. Their number is being increased continuously. Keeping this in mind, a big decision has been taken regarding Vande Bharat running from Bihar. Hajipur division has received a gift of 200 crores, so that better and convenient travel can be provided to the passengers.
According to Chief Public Relations Officer of East Central Railway Saraswati Chandra, currently four Vande Bharat trains are being operated by the railways namely Patna-Howrah, Patna-Ranchi, Patna-Gomtinagar and Newsalpaiguri-Patna. For better maintenance of Vande Bharat trains running from Patna, the Railway Board has approved the construction of a coaching complex near Patliputra station of Danapur division. Its construction is likely to cost around Rs 200 crore.
Under this, a 630 meter long washing pit line along with a shed way line for inspection and maintenance will be constructed. All lines will be equipped with overhead wire (OHE). There will be separate arrangements for heavy repair shed and bogie repair shed. So that if any problem arises in Vande Bharat, it can be resolved here. When Patliputra Coaching Complex is fully ready, it will be able to maintain 10 Vande Bharat trains with 24 coaches at a time. At present, Rajendranagar Coaching Complex has been upgraded for the maintenance of Vande Bharat at a cost of 20 crores.
