An hour before committing suicide on the night of 24 February, Gaurav (name changed), a resident of Discovery Society, Greater Faridabad, cried a lot while sitting among friends of the society. He told friends that he was bullied in school. No one understands him whether he is a student or a teacher. Gaurav had 2-3 friends in the society with whom he often shared his pain. He was also sitting with the same friends on 24 February, the day of the incident. Gaurav was a student of DPS, his mother is also a fine arts teacher in the same school. He had dyslexia. It is alleged that he had sought help from his headmistress to understand some questions. It is alleged that the headmistress had scolded saying that she was taking advantage by making excuse of illness. Due to this Gaurav got so upset that he committed suicide by jumping from the 17th floor of the society on the night of 24 February.
In this case, the BPTP police station had registered a case against the headmistress and the school management. Academic head Mamta Gupta has been arrested by the police in the case.
When I saw it falling from the 17th floor, I stopped breathing.
The friend told that Gaurav had gone from him after talking an hour ago. When he was telling his problem while crying, he was also explained to him. Often he used to share everything with them. That day also he was sitting with him. At that time nothing seemed like that he would take such a big step.
Had he known even a little that Gaurav would do this, he could have stopped him. The friend told that even after Gaurav’s departure, he was sitting with another friend. When he saw Gaurav falling from the 17th floor, his breath stopped. The people of the society had stopped going near, so he could not reach the spot.
Academic head blaming himself innocent
BPTP station in-charge Arjun said that after arresting Mamta Gupta, the academic head of the school, she was interrogated but she did not tell anything during this period. She just kept blaming herself innocent. At present, he has been sent to jail.
