Big Relief To Hemant Soren From Supreme Court: Hemant Soren gets big relief from Supreme Court, bail will remain intact, ED’s petition rejected

New Delhi. The Supreme Court has given a big relief to Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and has upheld his bail. The apex court termed the bail decision given by the High Court as absolutely correct and refused to interfere in it. Along with this, the petition of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) was also rejected. The ED had filed a petition before the Supreme Court challenging the bail decision by the High Court. In the Supreme Court, the bench of Justice B. R. Gavai and Justice K. V. Vishwanathan said in its decision that the decision of the High Court is completely logical and a good decision. We are not inclined to interfere in this order.

The bench warned the ED and said that we do not want to say anything more in this matter because if we say anything, you can get into trouble. The ED challenged the High Court’s decision in the Supreme Court and said that the bail order is against the provisions of the PMLA Act. The ED also said that the High Court is wrong in saying that prima facie there is no case against Hemant Soren in this case. Let us tell you that the ED arrested Hemant Soren on January 31 this year in the money laundering case related to the land scam.

Before his arrest, Hemant Soren had resigned from the post of Chief Minister of Jharkhand and handed over the command of the state to Champai Soren. After this, the High Court granted bail to Hemant Soren on 28 June. As soon as Hemant Soren came out of jail, Champai Soren resigned from the post of Chief Minister. After this, Hemant met the Governor and staked claim to form the government and on 4 July this month, he took oath as the Chief Minister of the state for the third time.
