Bombay. The Bombay High Court on Monday granted two months interim bail to Jet Airways founder Naresh Goyal on medical grounds in a money laundering case.
Jet Airways founder Naresh Goyal had moved the high court seeking bail on medical grounds in a money laundering case, saying both he and his wife were suffering from terminal cancer.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had arrested Goyal in September 2023 on charges of money laundering and misappropriation of Rs 538.62 crore given to Jet Airways as loan by Canara Bank. Goyal’s wife Anita Goyal was arrested in November 2023 after the ED filed a chargesheet in this case.
Anita was granted bail by the special court on the day of her arrest on the basis of her age and medical condition, but the special court had refused to grant bail to Naresh Goyal on the grounds that he should be provided treatment in the hospital of his choice. Used to be.
