The Mumbai Police, which is investigating the incident of firing outside the house of Bollywood actor Salman Khan, has got a big success. Mumbai Police on Monday conducted a search operation in Tapi river in Surat, Gujarat and recovered the gun used in the firing outside Salman’s house. Search for second gun continues
Mumbai Crime Branch has said that they have recovered the gun used in the firing outside Salman Khan’s house and some live cartridges from Tapi river in Surat. However, the police are still looking for the second gun. Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, the youths who fired at Salman’s house, have told during interrogation that they had reached Surat by road from Mumbai after firing at Salman’s house. From here he went to Bhuj by train where during the journey he threw the pistol from a railway bridge into the Tapi river.
The shooters had two guns
The shooters who fired at Salman Khan’s house had two guns and were ordered to fire 10 rounds. The accused told during interrogation that after committing the crime, they had thrown the gun in the Tapi river of Surat. Police had arrested both the accused of firing from Bhuj, Gujarat. The names of the two arrested accused are Vicky Gupta (24) and Sagar Pal (21). Both the accused shooters are Christians from Bihar and residents of West Champaran. Mumbai Crime Branch has taken accused Vicky Gupta with itself to Surat Tapi river. So far, statements of 10 people have been recorded in this case. Police can also add other sections in this case.
