New Delhi. Government telecom company BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) has geared up to launch its 4G service across the country. The company has installed 4G towers on more than 15 thousand mobile sites across the country. Soon BSNL is going to launch 4G service simultaneously across the country. Along with this, BSNL has also started testing 5G service and is providing 5G ready SIM cards to the users.
4G service under Atmanirbhar Bharat Initiative
BSNL has confirmed on its official social media handle that the work of more than 15 thousand 4G mobile sites has been completed. The company has said in its post that under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Initiative, more than 15 thousand 4G sites have been prepared, which will provide seamless connectivity across India. The special thing about BSNL’s 4G service is that completely indigenous technology has been used in it. Equipment made in India has been installed in these mobile towers.
5G testing started
BSNL has started testing 5G along with 4G service. Recently, Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia made a video call using BSNL’s 5G network based on indigenous technology. After the release of this video, crores of users of the country are waiting for BSNL’s 5G service.
The government telecom company has also started giving 5G ready SIM cards to new users. In such a situation, it is expected that the 5G service of the government telecom company can also be started in the coming few months. Currently, BSNL’s 5G service is being tested in the C-DoT campus. In the coming few weeks, it will be tested in many cities of the country.
Financial support from the government
The central government has allotted more than 83 thousand crore rupees in this year’s budget to revive BSNL. This budget will be used to upgrade BSNL’s network and improve the quality of service. This will help BSNL to compete with private telecom companies.
