Ranchi. There is talk of a big upheaval in Jharkhand politics before the assembly elections. According to sources, six JMM MLAs including former CM Champai Soren are said to be in touch with the BJP. Lobin Hembram and Sameer Mohanty are also said to be in touch with the BJP. Apart from Champai Soren, it has been claimed that many other MLAs are displeased.
According to sources, Lobin Hembram may join BJP soon. Lobin is waiting for the final call from BJP. Lobin Hembram is reaching Ranchi tomorrow. Efforts are on to include JMM and Congress MLAs in BJP. Lobin Hembram contested the Lok Sabha election against the JMM candidate. The Assembly Speaker had cancelled Hembram’s assembly membership. Current MLA Sameer Mohanty may go from JMM to BJP. There is a possibility of Sameer’s ticket being cut in the upcoming assembly elections, so he may join BJP. Meanwhile, in a program in Seraikela, Champai Soren has rejected the speculation of joining BJP.
Meanwhile, BJP’s co-election in-charge in Jharkhand Himanta Biswa Sarma praised former CM Champai Soren. He said that ‘the work which was not done in the last five years, Champai Soren has done it in his six-month tenure. The promise of giving 12 thousand rupees that CM Soren is making is Champai Soren’s contribution. If our government comes, we will give 5000 rupees per month.’
