Patna. After the higher education issue, now Raj Bhavan has cornered KK Pathak on the school issue. Once again a situation of dispute is arising between the Education Department of Bihar and Raj Bhavan. Governor Vishwanath Arlekar has written a letter to the Chief Secretary through the Principal Secretary. In the letter, the Governor has asked to extend the summer holidays in the schools of Bihar. It remains to be seen whether the Education Department accepts the order of Raj Bhavan or not.
After the opening of schools in Bihar, the Raj Bhavan has come into action. The Governor’s Principal Secretary Robert L Chongthu has written a letter to the Chief Secretary Brajesh Mehrotra regarding the extension of the summer vacation. He said that in view of the scorching heat, the summer vacation period should be extended. The letter said that there has been information about the adverse effect on the health of children. A request has been made to extend the vacation till the first week of June. The Governor has received information from children, teachers and parents. There is also anger among the teachers due to the school timings. KK Pathak had given summer vacation till May 15 only.
Earlier, Raj Bhavan used to give instructions by writing a letter directly to KK Pathak, but after increasing tension and continuous dispute in the university matter, now instead of writing a letter to KK Pathak, Raj Bhavan has started writing a letter directly to the Chief Secretary. Let us tell you that even before this, Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar has intervened many times on the school issue, but KK Pathak ignored all the letters and the teachers have not been able to get much relief.
