The victim, who had fallen on the road, kept pleading for mercy from the accused, but the accused kept showering punches and kicks on her. During this, the people standing there remained silent spectators.
The incident happened on Monday, when the rape victim reached the court and meanwhile she was assaulted. The accused also pushed the victim’s family members who came to intervene. When the policemen present in the court premises reached there, the accused who attacked ran away from there. With the help of the people present there, the family admitted the victim to Sadar Hospital. Where she was discharged after treatment.
The victim’s family said that she lives in Nagar police station area and marriage talks were going on with the accused youth from Motipur. Meanwhile, the accused youth sexually exploited her on the pretext of marriage and later refused to marry her. She had lodged an FIR in Nagar police station regarding this. The case is going on in the court.
It is being told that the accused’s bail was rejected last year. Since then all the accused were angry with him and were threatening to withdraw the case. Regarding the case, City SP Awadhesh Dixit said that on receiving the application, an FIR will be lodged and action will be taken against the accused. Till now the victim has not given an application in the police station.
