Banka. In Bihar, under Nitish Kumar’s rule, there is a pauper of thieves. Big thefts are happening continuously these days. Earlier, thieves had cut iron bridges in Rohtas and Jehanabad. Now a similar case has come to the fore in Banka as well. Here the thieves took away a large part of a bridge built by the army. The local administration slept soundly and the thieves stole only half of the bridge, little by little. After this, the eyes of the administration are now open. They are talking about catching the thieves. Questions are being raised on such theft of government property in Bihar. The case of theft of a bridge in Banka district has come to the fore in Siljori Panchayat of Chandan Prashank. This bridge was built between Jhajha village and Pataniya Dharamshala on Kanwariya road here.
In view of the difficulties of those going on the Kanwar Yatra, the Bihar State Bridge Construction Corporation had built this bridge in the year 2008 with the help of the army. It was built by the army as Bailey Bridge. Kanwariyas kept passing through this bridge every year. Later in the year 2012, the new Kanwariya Path was formed. After this the movement of people through this bridge reduced. Due to this the administration also became neglected and the thieves got an easy opportunity to take them away by cutting the bridge.
According to the information, the thieves did not steal the part of the bridge in a single day. He would come every day with a gas cutter and cut some part and take it away. This process of stealing the bridge was going on for a long time. When the matter of the theft of part of the bridge came to the fore through the media, the administration lost its sleep. After this, Chandan’s BDO and station in-charge arrived to see the condition of the bridge. The administration is saying that there has been talk of removing the remaining part from the bridge corporation. On the matter of theft, he says that the police is trying to find that gang.
