Haryana’s veteran BJP leader Birender Singh, who has been wearing ‘silence’ for the last three years, is going to hold a big rally in Uchana Kalan of his home district Jind today. Supporters of 76-year-old Birender Singh say the rally is being organized to mark 50 years of his public life. But it is also being seen as a display of his power. Particularly, to make the BJP leadership feel its strength and give a message to the rivals, it is also believed to be its purpose. Birender Singh’s son Brijendra Singh has also been busy in the preparations for this rally for the past few weeks. Brijendra Singh, who was an IAS, is currently a BJP MP from Hisar seat.
Interestingly, leaders of all parties have been invited to this rally. In these, Indian National Lok Dal leader Abhay Chautala, AAP in-charge of Haryana and Rajya Sabha MP Sushil Gupta, besides Congress and Akali Dal leaders have also been called in it. Those who understand the politics of Haryana say that Birender Singh wants to show strength in his stronghold through this rally. Apart from this, he also wants to give a message to the BJP on two issues. The first issue is that before the 2019 general elections, Birender Singh had announced to leave electoral politics.
Son is expected to be made cabinet minister
It was only after this that his son got a ticket from Hisar and he also became an MP. But as expected, he was not made a cabinet minister, which Birender Singh wanted. In such a situation, through this show of power, he would like to send a message to the high command that how much he has a hold and why it is important to give attention to the son. Apart from this, Birender Singh also wants to show strength regarding the Uchana Kalan assembly seat. His village also comes in this assembly and from here his wife Prem Lata contested the assembly elections, but was defeated. The victory was won by Dushyant Chautala, who is now the Deputy CM.
Why is Birender Singh claiming the Uchana Kalan seat?
In such a situation, Birender Singh wants to strengthen his claim on this seat in the next assembly elections. A local leader who is a supporter of Birender Singh said, ‘The question is who will get down from the Uchana Kalan assembly. Birender Singh’s family has won the election five times from here.
