Kolkata. The politics of West Bengal has once again caused earthquake. The BJP has made serious allegations against the police, saying that the police entered the party office in Notunganj in Bankura district and vandalized at midnight, destroyed the documents and tried to disrupt the functioning of the party. The incident is reported to be around 2 pm on Saturday, when the district police and the police force of Khatra police station under the leadership of IC of Bankura Sadar police station allegedly broke the lock of the office and infiltrated inside. According to the BJP, this action of the police was pre -planned and its purpose was to weaken the party and work in a spirit of political revenge. When the BJP workers who reached the spot protested, the police had to retreat.
BJP’s sharp attack
The District President of Bankura BJP strongly condemned the incident, saying, “This is not a common incident, but a direct attack on democracy. It proves that the police of West Bengal has now become the political branch of the Trinamool Congress.”
He claimed that the police had recently tried to implicate the BJP in the incident of attack on the husband of Minister of State for Food and Supplies Jyotsna Mandi, and the party office has now been targeted in this connection.
