Bhopal . In Madhya Pradesh, the ruling party BJP and the opposition Congress are face to face these days. The reason for this is not a public issue but defection. Claims are being made from both sides that a large number of MLAs and leaders are about to switch sides. The change of power in the state was due to defection and more than 24 MLAs had left the Congress and joined the BJP, due to which the Congress lost its hand and the BJP returned to power. After that many leaders and MLAs left Congress and joined BJP. Now the assembly elections are more than a year away and claims are being made from both the parties that many MLAs and leaders are looking to leave their parties.
A big disclosure of possible defection has been made by the state government’s urban administration minister Bhupendra Singh. He says that many Congress MLAs and leaders are ready to join BJP, because no one wants to remain in Congress. In gestures, he even said that the day the BJP wants many MLAs will leave the Congress and join it.
On one hand this statement of Bhupendra Singh came, on the other hand Congress state president and former Chief Minister Kamal Nath also claimed that many BJP MLAs are ready to join Congress. He has said that many BJP MLAs are in touch with me.
Both the BJP and Congress political parties in the state have prepared the report cards of their MLAs. In this, the position of many MLAs has turned out to be weak in their area. There is a possibility that at present there are many such MLAs whom the party will shy away from fielding for the next time. Along with this, the tickets of the MLAs whose attitude is against the party can also be cut. As a result, the MLAs who are finding themselves in danger are in the process of changing the party. This is the reason that claims are being made by the BJP and the Congress to change sides of the MLAs.
