Kolkata. Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College, which came into the news after the rape and murder of a female doctor, was vandalised by some violent people on Wednesday night. These people destroyed everything in the emergency. Even the doctors who were protesting were beaten up. On this incident, BJP has directly targeted West Bengal CM and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee and blamed her for the vandalism at RG Kar.
BJP leader and Leader of Opposition in West Bengal Assembly Shubhendu Adhikari has issued a statement that Mamata Banerjee had sent TMC goons to the apolitical protest rally going on near RG Kar Medical College. Shubhendu targeted Mamata and wrote in the post that she considers herself the smartest person in the whole world. The BJP leader said about Mamata that she thought that people would not be able to understand this cleverness that her goons appearing as protesters would mix with the crowd and vandalize RG Kar Medical College. Shubhendu Adhikari alleged that the police gave safe passage to the vandals and violence by running away and looking the other way. So that these goons could enter the campus and destroy the area containing important evidence and the CBI could not collect this evidence.

BJP leader Shubhendu Adhikari further wrote that TMC goons were fools. They could not execute the plan properly. When they vandalized the stage of the protesting resident doctors, trainees and PGTs, they revealed their identity. Shubhendu Adhikari raised the question that why would someone who came to show solidarity with the doctors destroy the center of the protest. He also raised the question that when the protest was peaceful all over West Bengal, why did violence take place only in RG Kar Medical College. Earlier, regarding the violence in RG Kar Medical College, Mamata Banerjee’s nephew and TMC MP had posted that tonight the hooliganism in RG Kar has crossed all acceptable limits. Abhishek Banerjee wrote that as a public representative, he spoke to the Kolkata Police Commissioner and urged him to ensure that every person responsible for the violence in RG Kar Medical College is identified and held accountable. Irrespective of his political affiliation. Abhishek Banerjee also wrote that the demands of the protesting doctors are justified and this is the minimum they should expect from the government. The safety and security of protesters must be given priority.
