BJP Remaining Seat: Bharatiya Janata Party BJP has released its fifth list of 111 candidates for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections. In this list, tickets have been given to Maneka Gandhi, film actress Kangana Ranaut and Arun Govil, who played the role of Ram in the Ramayana serial. BJP has so far fielded its candidates on 309 seats but it still has to announce the names of its candidates on many more seats. That means there are still many candidates left in BJP’s quiver. These mainly include Uttar Pradesh where at least 12 more candidates will be fielded by BJP. Three BJP candidates withdrew their names, after which new candidates have been fielded again on those seats.
BJP may field more candidates on 12 seats in Uttar Pradesh
Uttar Pradesh has the maximum of 80 seats where BJP has announced the names of 64 candidates so far. In Uttar Pradesh, BJP had announced 51 candidates in the very first list. After this, BJP announced the names of 13 more candidates in the fifth list. In the fifth list, BJP fielded its candidates from Saharanpur, Moradabad, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Hathras, Badaun, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Sultanpur, Kanpur, Barabanki and Bahraich seats. The main topic of discussion was the cutting of Varun Gandhi’s ticket and making Arun Govil the candidate from Meerut. If added in this way, BJP has fielded a total of 64 candidates from Uttar Pradesh so far. There are total 80 seats in UP. Thus, there are still 18 seats left. Although BJP already has an alliance with Apna Dal and there is talk of giving it two seats, but if there is an alliance with Rashtriya Lok Dal, it can also be given two seats. There are some murmurs regarding Nishad Party and Omprakash Rajbhar’s Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party. In such a situation, 6 out of 18 seats can be given to the alliance parties. In this way, BJP is still yet to announce the names of 12 candidates.
Final decision pending on alliance in other states
Apart from Uttar Pradesh, names of BJP candidates are yet to be announced on 3 seats in Rajasthan also. There is no alliance with anyone in Rajasthan. Whereas BJP can field its candidates on 3 more seats from West Bengal. Names of candidates are going to be announced on 3 seats from Jammu and Kashmir also. It is believed that BJP may announce some surprising name from Kashmir Valley. BJP will also field its candidates for 4 other seats from Kerala. The names of BJP candidates are yet to be announced in Maharashtra and Punjab also. An announcement is yet to be made regarding seat sharing in Maharashtra. At the same time, alliance talks are going on with Akali Dal in Punjab. Therefore, BJP has not announced the names of even a single seat candidate from Punjab.

The list was released like this
Bharatiya Janata Party had released the first list of candidates on March 2 in which the names of candidates for 195 seats were announced. These included names of many big leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi. After this, on March 13, BJP released the second list in which it announced the names of its candidates for 72 seats in the country. On March 21, BJP released its third list of candidates for 9 seats in Tamil Nadu. After this, on March 22, in the fourth list, BJP announced the names of its candidates for 15 seats. Bharatiya Janata Party released its fifth list on March 24 and announced the field of 111 candidates. These include names ranging from film star Kangana Ranaut to Maneka Gandhi.
