quota. The grand procession organized by Maheshwari Samaj on the holy festival of Mahesh Navami today, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) city Kota gave a grand welcome and greeted by showering flowers in front of Vishwakarma Temple at Mahavir Nagar Square.
On this occasion, a large number of BJP workers including Maheshwari Samaj Kota President Rajesh Birla, BJP Kota City District President Rakesh Jain performed flowers on the procession. District President Rakesh Jain honored Rajesh Birla by wearing a safa, shawl and garland.
District President Rakesh Jain highlighted the religious and cultural significance of Mahesh Navami. He informed that this festival is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati and is celebrated on the Navami date of Shukla Paksha of Jyeshtha month, which is on 4 June 2025 this year. According to mythological beliefs, the Maheshwari society came into existence on this day, so this day is celebrated with great enthusiasm and reverence by the Maheshwari community.
Jain said that worshiping Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati on this day brings blessings of happiness, prosperity and peace. He also appreciated the significant contribution of Maheshwari society in the economic system of the country. Jain said that businessmen associated with Maheshwari society work to strengthen the country financially.
On this occasion, Rakesh Jain urged everyone present to give his participation to fulfill Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolve to fulfill the resolution of ‘self -sufficient India’. He specifically appealed that all of us should stop trade from foreigners, especially enemy countries of India – China, Pakistan, and Turkey and stop purchasing their products.
He insisted that we should only buy indigenous products manufactured in India, because only a self -sufficient country is really strong. Jain called all Maheshwari Samajbandhu to play their active role in making India self -reliant.
