How was the election result in 2019
In the 2019 assembly elections, the BJP won 41 seats in Arunachal Pradesh. The Janata Dal (United) got 7 seats, the National People’s Party (NPP) 5, the Congress 4 and the People’s Party of Arunachal (PPA) 1 seat. Apart from this, two independent candidates also emerged victorious. After the elections, all Congress MLAs except former Chief Minister Nabam Tuki joined the BJP. With this recent victory, the BJP is set to continue its development agenda in Arunachal Pradesh, getting a more significant majority than the previous term.
Thank you Arunachal Pradesh! The people of this wonderful state have given an unequivocal mandate to politics of development. My gratitude to them for reposing their faith in @BJP4Arunachal yet again. Our Party will keep working with even greater vigour for the state’s growth.
