Leader of Opposition Tikaram Julie attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party on the birth anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the creator of the Constitution. Tikaram Julie said that on the one hand the national president of the Congress is from the Dalit community, while the BJP is not a single Dalit Chief Minister despite being in power in 21 states. The BJP also does not want to appoint District President or Block President from the Dalit community. This reflects their thinking.
BJP is shutting down schemes for Dalits
Tikaram Julie further said that the Congress party is fighting firmly for social justice and Dalit honors, while the BJP’s attitude has been negligent towards the underprivileged sections from the beginning. He also attacked the Rajasthan government and said that the BJP started stopping the schemes launched by the Congress government for Dalits, underprivileged and backward classes as soon as they came to power. Their intention is clear – pushing back social justice.
‘This comment shows his thinking’
Julie, referring to the temple incident in Alwar and throwing soot on Baba Saheb’s statue in Bikaner, said that these are not just incidents, this is a mentality, which can also be understood by the statements of BJP leaders. The comments of the Minister of State for Home and other BJP leaders reveal their thinking.
We will fight for the rights of backward and Dalits.
Julie said that I used to go to temples and go further, but it remains to be seen how many temples the BJP will sprinkle Ganga water. The stand of the Congress has always been clear, whether it is Waqf Bill or the rights of Dalits, we have raised loud voice in Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha and JPC. We will continue to fight for the rights of deprived, backward and Dalit communities.
