Bengaluru. Is BJP running ‘Operation Lotus’ to topple the Congress government in Karnataka? This fear is troubling Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah. Siddaramaiah expressed this fear on Saturday and said that BJP is trying hard to topple his government and efforts are on to buy MLAs. Siddaramaiah also claimed that no Congress MLA will fall prey to BJP’s tricks nor will it be sold out. In fact, this fear has been haunting Siddaramaiah since the day the Congress government was formed in Karnataka. There was a long battle between Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar, who was made Deputy CM, to form the government in Karnataka. There was a lot of poster making to make Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah the CM. Eventually the Congress high command resolved the issue.
Now Siddaramaiah is once again being haunted by the fear of BJP’s Operation Kamal because Congress MLA Ravikumar Gowda said on Friday that BJP has lured every MLA by giving Rs 50-50 crore and ministerial posts to join them. . At the same time, DK Shivkumar has also said that BJP has hatched a big conspiracy to topple the Congress government, but it will not succeed. On the other hand, the fear of Operation Kamal is also haunting Siddaramaiah and his close ones because Karnataka Home Minister G. God had given a party last Friday. Deputy CM Shivkumar was missing from that party. On the same day, Mandya seat MLA Ravikumar Gowda had claimed that after two and a half years, Siddaramaiah would be removed and DK Shivakumar would be made the CM of Karnataka. The figure of thirty-six of Deputy CM DK Shivakumar is said to be higher than that of PWD Minister Satish Jarkiholi in the Siddaramaiah government.
According to sources, Satish Jarkiholi has also prepared a plan to go to Dubai with 20 Congress MLAs from Karnataka. It is believed that he wants to show his strength. Earlier, he wanted to take the same number of MLAs to Mysuru, but after the intervention of the Congress high command i.e. Rahul and Sonia Gandhi, Satish Jarkiholi had recently canceled the plan of going to Mysuru with the MLAs. Actually, the fear of Congress and Siddaramaiah has not arisen just like that. Last time when Congress formed the government in Karnataka in alliance with JDS’s HD Kumaraswamy, within just 14 months all the MLAs had defected to BJP. After which BJP ran the government in Karnataka for its entire tenure.
