Now there is no fear, right? These words are from Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, which he had asked a girl child while addressing a public meeting in Kairana. Hindus are making a comeback in Kairana and the state government has bluntly told the criminals for any misadventure that one mistake and a straight chest piercing will be done. Due to the efforts of the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh, Hindus are feeling safe in Kairana today, but many questions arise on the timing of Yogi Adityanath’s visit. The question is, why did the BJP government take so long to get justice? Obviously, the next year i.e. 2022 is the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh and the role of Kairana can prove to be important for the BJP in the direction of catering to the Hindu voters.
There is no need to be afraid, the government is with
In fact, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached Kairana on Monday and met the families of the victims who were forced to migrate due to the goonda raj of the particular community and are now returning to their homes. Yogi Adityanath took stock of the existing law and order situation in Shamli’s Kairana and assured the public that the government is completely with them, there is nothing to fear. During this, CM Yogi also addressed a public meeting in which he made it clear that Taliban mentality will not be accepted in UP. He said, “In the last four-and-a-half years, we have created such an environment, due to which the criminal is not even able to walk with his head raised. Whoever shot at traders or innocent people was shot in the chest and traveled to another world. ” Yogi warned the rioters and said, “Whoever tries to create anarchy, riots, his future generations will forget how riots happen.”
Why did Hindus have to migrate from Kairana?
In the year 2013, Muzaffarnagar was stirred by the frenzy of Islamic extremism, the fire of this riot had not yet cooled that the issue of exodus of Hindus from Kairana adjacent to it came to the fore in the year 2016. Population equation is also considered to be the major reason for the migration of Hindus to Kairana. A team of four members of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) also found that Hindu families were actually forced to migrate because of the particular community, in the investigation of the case of exodus of Hindus in the year 2016.
The National Human Rights Commission in its report had said that hundreds of Hindu families had migrated from Kairana and the reason for this is the change in the proportion of the population of Kairana. It was believed in this report that some Muslim youths molest the daughters-in-law of Hindus in Kairana. Due to the fear of these youths, some of the victims’ families did not complain to the police, and in some cases the local police did not take action even after the complaints of the relatives. The commission had also given many suggestions to the UP government in its report submitted in 20 points, but the then SP government did not take it seriously.
Let us inform that according to the 2001 census, the total population of Kairana in Uttar Pradesh was 89,000, of which 16,320 (18.34%) were Hindus and 71,863 (80.74%) were Muslims, by now this difference would have increased further. This is the reason that in the year 2016, former Saharanpur MP Raghav Lakhanpal had claimed that now in Kairana 92% Muslims while Hindus are left with only 8%.
After Kashmir, the exodus of Hindus in Kairana is shameful
After the exodus of Hindus from Kashmir, this migration of Kairana was nothing less than a shameful situation for India. The Hindu community had given up hope of justice due to vote bank politics. The Hindus of Kashmir had also suffered the brunt of injustice for decades due to the lust for power of the politicians. The infatuation of the SP’s Muslim VATbank, then the slowness of the BJP rule, delayed justice to the Hindus of Kairana. However, now the situation is changing in Kairana.
The politics of VATbank weighed heavily on the exodus
By the way, it was the late Hukum Singh, a former BJP MP, who raised the issue of mass exodus of Hindus in Kairana and also released a list of 346 Hindu families exodus in the year 2016. Hukum Singh had also highlighted the increasing crime in Kairana and the political protection being given to the criminals. In Uttar Pradesh, then the assembly elections were near and the Samajwadi Party did not give much importance to this matter for vote bank politics. At that time BJP made it a big issue and riding on anti-incumbency waves BJP won the 2017 assembly elections in UP, but BJP could not win this seat in the 2017 assembly elections. Perhaps this is the reason why the BJP chose a time before the 2022 assembly elections to solve the problem of exodus of Hindus.
Now that the 2022 assembly elections are around the corner, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Shamli’s district Kairana and met the families who had migrated from here after the communal riots, but are now returning. . Not only this, CM Yogi also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 114 development projects worth crores including PAC Camp, UP Roadways Bus Stand in Kairana on Monday. It is clear that the BJP wants to cultivate this seat and now the opposition has also accused the BJP of doing politics of polarization of votes regarding Yogi Adityanath’s visit to Kairana and the timing of resolving the issue of migration.
It is to be noted that Kairana West is one of the 3 Assembly constituencies in Shamli District of Uttar Pradesh and Hukum Singh has represented Kairana Vidhan Sabha for the longest time. After the death of Hukum Singh, BJP failed to win this seat, but this time BJP is pushing hard. However, only time will tell whether BJP’s Kairana’s bet will be successful in UP elections, but Yogi Adityanath is leaving no stone unturned to strengthen BJP’s claim on this seat.
