Barabanki. It is only ten days since the results of the UP assembly were declared and BJP MLAs are already showing their attitude and arrogance. BJP MLA Dinesh Rawat, who won from Haidergarh assembly seat, was heard saying that those who did not vote for him should not expect any favors from him.
“These people should not come to me for any kind of help or support. I will help only those who have voted for me,” he said.
A video clip of this speech has gone viral on social media.
Rawat defeated his SP rival by a margin of over 25,000 votes. He has become an MLA for the first time.
When contacted, a senior BJP functionary said, “It will take some time for these new MLAs to return to normalcy after their resounding victory. However, we are asking them to be polite and treat people with respect.”
