Jaipur. The raid of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) at the residence of Congress leader Pratap Singh Khachariwas has brought a stir in the politics of Rajasthan. BJP leaders and ministers have justified the ED’s action, accusing the Congress of being trapped in the corruption swamp. The BJP leaders called the Congress rhetoric a frustrated attempt to obstruct the investigation and collect people’s sympathy. Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Premchand Bairwa, while dismissing the Congress’ allegations, said, “These are independent agencies, if anything happens, it will come out, it will not come. The Congress has promoted the politics of hatred and hatred in the country.” Jawahar Singh Bedham, Minister of State for Home, accused the Congress of defaming the constitutional institutions, saying, “If the agency investigates a subject, it should not be given political color.”
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel said, “The ED’s action is fair. It is condemnable to add the name of Bhairon Singh Shekhawat ji.” Senior BJP leader Rajendra Rathore accused the Congress of non-cooperation in the investigation, saying, “The history of independent India is full of incidents in which the Congress has broken constitutional institutions for the benefit of a family.” He described the statement of Dotasara’s ‘Sleeper Sale’ as a sign of the internal discord of the Congress.
BJP General Secretary Jitendra Gothwal challenged the Congress and said, “If you are not wrong, then you should cooperate in the investigation.” BJP state spokesperson Laxmikant Bhardwaj described the Congress as “the party immersed from corruption to the party”, saying, “Their leaders want to take sympathy from the public by making false accusations on the government.”
BJP State General Secretary and MP Damodar Aggarwal asked the Congress question, “If clean, why are you afraid of Red?” Describing the ED’s action as lawful, he said, “Milk milk will become water.”
BJP leaders accused the Congress of maligning the investigating agencies and misleading the public. He said that the Congress should cooperate in the investigation and let the truth be revealed. The BJP clarified that their government is standing on the policy of zero tolerance against corruption and no convict will be spared.
