- If it remains in power at the Centre, BJP has promised the public that all senior citizens above the age of 70 years will get the benefits of ‘Ayushman Bharat’ scheme. Whether rich or poor, everyone will get its benefit. Along with this, people of transgender community will also be brought under its ambit. PM Modi said that every elderly person above 70 years of age, whether poor, middle class or upper middle class, will get the facility of free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh.
- BJP will also expand Vande Bharat trains to every corner of the country. Vande Bharat will run 3 models in the country – Sleeper, Chaircar and Vande Bharat Metro. Similarly, today the work of Ahmedabad-Mumbai Bullet Train is going on rapidly in the direction of modern and developed India and is nearing completion. Now BJP has resolved that in the coming time, we will accelerate the move towards modernity with one bullet train project each in North India, South India and East India. - BJP’s resolve is to make India a food processing hub. This will lead to value addition, increase the profit of the farmer and new employment opportunities will also be created. To make India a Global Nutrition Hub, BJP will give a lot of emphasis on Shri Anna. This will give special benefit to more than 2 crore small farmers producing Shree Anna.
BJP will provide permanent houses to three crore poor within five years. It has been claimed that the BJP government has built 4 crore pucca houses for the poor. - Congress released its manifesto for the Lok Sabha elections on Friday in which it promised to conduct a caste-based census, increase the reservation limit to more than 50 percent, give legal guarantee of minimum support price to farmers and fight corruption like electoral bonds, Rafale and Pegasus. Promised to get the cases investigated.
- Congress promised that if its government is formed in the country, it will conduct a caste-based census and the maximum limit of reservation will be increased from 50 percent. Congress also said that it will implement the 10 percent reservation for the economically weaker sections without any discrimination for the poor of all sections. It has also been said in the manifesto that after coming to power, the new education policy will be amended in consultation with the state governments.
- The party said in the manifesto that the cases of leaders who joined BJP to escape corruption cases will be reopened and investigated. Congress promised to set up a National Judicial Commission in consultation with the Supreme Court for the appointment of judges to higher courts. The five guarantees that the party has talked about under ‘Youth Justice’ include the promise of providing 30 lakh government jobs and giving Rs 1 lakh to the youth under the apprenticeship program for one year.

- The Congress promised that if voted to power, it would give a legal guarantee of Minimum Support Price (MSP) as recommended by the Swaminathan Commission. The Congress promised that after coming to power, it will immediately restore full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir and include the tribal area of Ladakh in the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution.
