BJP's masterplan for Delhi elections, what will happen to Gautam Gambhir?

New Delhi. In the country’s capital Delhi, the newly-formed Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has been continuously achieving success in the assembly elections by defeating big leaders. Assembly elections are to be held in Delhi next year, so along with the ruling AAP, BJP has also started preparing for the elections. BJP has also prepared a master plan for this. Senior BJP leaders have given special instructions to three big leaders of the party. At the same time, big news is also coming out about the current coach of the Indian cricket team and former BJP MP Gautam Gambhir.

According to media reports, BJP may give its former MPs of Delhi another chance to prove their strength in the assembly elections next year. Sources said that the senior leadership of BJP has instructed three former MPs (Ramesh Bidhuri, Pravesh Verma and Meenakshi Lekhi) to work on the ground for the assembly elections to be held next year. These three former MPs can be BJP candidates in the upcoming elections. Let us tell you that their ticket was cut in this year’s Lok Sabha elections. According to the report, out of the 7 former BJP MPs of Delhi, three (Gautam Gambhir, Hansraj Hans and Dr. Harsh Vardhan) are unlikely to be considered as candidates for the Delhi Assembly elections in the year 2025. The remaining three former MPs have been asked to prepare. Let us tell you that Manoj Tiwari was again fielded by BJP in the parliamentary elections.

Gautam Gambhir is less likely to contest the elections
Praveen Khandelwal was given ticket in place of Dr. Harsh Vardhan in Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha constituency, Bansuri Swaraj in place of Meenakshi Lekhi in New Delhi, Kamaljit Sehrawat in place of Parvesh Verma in West Delhi, Ramveer Singh Bidhuri in place of Ramesh Bidhuri in South Delhi and Harsh Malhotra in place of Gautam Gambhir in East Delhi. Only Manoj Tiwari was retained. Now three of these 6 former MPs have been asked to prepare for the assembly elections. On the other hand, if media reports are to be believed, Gautam Gambhir may not be made a candidate.

Who can contest elections from where?
Ramesh Bidhuri may be fielded from Tughlakabad or Badarpur assembly seat. Meenakshi Lekhi may be considered from Kasturba Nagar or Greater Kailash and Parvesh Verma from Matiala, Najafgarh or Mehrauli constituencies. Both Bidhuri and Verma have been MLAs before. Bidhuri was elected to the Delhi Assembly from Tughlakabad for three consecutive times from 2003 to 2013, while Verma was elected from Mehrauli in 2013 before contesting for the first time from West Delhi in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
