Nagpur. Expressing full confidence in achieving Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s target of 370 seats, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nitin Gadkari says that in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, additional seats will be added to the party’s current 288 seats from South India. Let us tell you that in this Lok Sabha election, BJP is giving special emphasis on South India, so that it can get maximum seats.
Gadkari said there was ‘no doubt’ in his mind whether the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would cross the 400-seat mark or not. He said that due to the concrete work done by the government in the last 10 years, Modi will take charge as Prime Minister for the third time.
Nitin Gadkari rejected allegations that the Modi government was ‘using’ the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as ‘weapons’ to weaken the opposition. He said that BJP’s rivals should try to overcome adverse circumstances by winning the trust of the people. Gadkari said, ‘Is it our responsibility to weaken or strengthen the opposition? When we had only two MPs and we were weak, we never got any package as sympathy. He is once again contesting from Nagpur for the third consecutive term of Lok Sabha.
Central Gadkari started his campaign through a big road show in Nagpur. His convoy of vehicles was crawling through the crowd of people and people were standing to welcome their local hero despite the temperature of 40 degree Celsius. The program was supposed to last for two hours, but it ended in four hours because supporters applied gulal on him, which drenched him completely, and wherever he stopped, people offered him something to eat.
Gadkari said that in the last few years, BJP has emerged strong due to the hard work of its workers and the opposition will also have to make efforts to gain the trust of the people. Nitin Gadkari is BJP candidate from Nagpur. Gadkari is also known as Rodman.
