Meanwhile, a threatening message came from the same number, demanding Rs 10 lakh. Blackmailer clearly wrote that if the money is not given or informed to the police, the video will be made viral on social media.

Police took command, thief reached behind bars

The scared couple finally dared to contact the police. The matter was very sensitive, so the police immediately came into action and traced the number and started searching for the accused.

In no time, the police arrested the accused. The thief was identified as Vinay Kumar Sahu, who previously prepared for the Civil Services Examination, but after failing, he turned to the world of crime. He often targeted the houses where people lived alone at night.

After the arrest, Vinay confessed that he recorded the couple’s video and blackmailed them. Police have recovered three mobile phones, three SIM cards and other digital equipment from him. During interrogation, he also told that after sending the video, he himself deleted the video due to fear.
