Banswara | Leela Tabiyar, a Sanskrit teacher of Chhaya Mahudi School – 36 years – was a calm, a simple, simple life woman. His life was reunited with scriptures, culture and self -esteem. Smiling from outside, broken from within. And perhaps these were the cracks in which the seed of love was sown at some time… but that seed did not flourish, became a gigantic. Mahipal Bhagora – A young man from Arathuna – had once come as a love in the life of Leela. Time brought both of them close to each other, but it was not the love that has faith, commitment and understanding. It turned into a one -sided passion, in which there was no place for ‘no’.
On the morning of 25 June, Kalinjara bus stand had routine like daily. People were going towards their destination. Leela was also waiting for the bus for school. But what no one knew, this is going to be the last morning of a teacher.
10:30 pm – A Silver Alto car quickly moved towards the bus stand. A familiar face landed from the car – Mahipal. But there was vengeance, not love in his eyes.
He came straight to Leela. Without any conversation, without warning, took out the sword from the jeb and took off Leela’s stomach in the same blow. No scream, no dialogue. Bus – a war, a murder.
Run killer, injured soul
After the murder, Mahipal sat in the car and escaped quickly. Perhaps he had already decided everything. But the game of luck was something else – his car collided with a tree. The nervous Mahipal ran away leaving the car. Stained with blood stained behind.
Passengers rushed Leela to a nearby hospital, but by then it was late. Doctors declared him dead.
Pre -planned murder, camera reveals secrets
Kalinjara police station and Bagidaura DSP reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported. Mahipal’s car and attack were clearly recorded in the CCTV footage. It was not an accident, but a conspiracy – the former planned, ruthless and ripping the soul.
Poison of mental deformity or patriarchy?
This incident has raised many questions. Was Mahipal mentally unstable? Or was it the image of the society where ‘no’ is considered an insult, and the property to the woman? Was this a man unsuccessful in love a deranged vengeance, or a disgusting face of patriarchy?
Leela: One who saw Sanskrit studies, but saw disappointed barbarity in his own life
Sanskrit teacher Leela taught the students a lesson of compassion, tolerance and virtue. But unfortunately, his own life turned into a chapter of cruelty and violence. Her death is not just a murder, but the thinking of our society is exposed, which considers the woman’s ‘no’ unacceptable.
Not incomplete love, call for incomplete justice
Mahipal has been booked for murder after Leela’s death. Police teams are looking for him. There has been blockade in place. But a question is unanswered – if such stories will be repeated till?
How long will a woman’s disagreement be caused by her death?
Was Leela alone?
No. Leela Tabiyar was not alone. She is a representative of hundreds of thousands of girls and women who are victims of someone rejected, injured ego or sick mindset.
Every time a man finds ‘no’ unbearable, and he should choose the path of violence, we have to think that the problem is not in that woman – our social upbringing, is in the perverted ideals of our manhood.
The difference between love and possession
The society now has to understand this difference – love is the one who gives freedom. ‘Position’ is one that snatches freedom. Love is one who flourishes with consent. And ‘Position’ is the one who becomes violent by disagreement.
Last word …
Leela is no longer there. A teacher, a daughter, a girlfriend, a man who probably wanted only a normal life. But his end was unusual, inhuman and unbearable.
Now justice is needed for him, not only a court, but also from society. So that the next ‘Leela’ does not end in such a tragedy.
