DLF and Ambience Mall
On Saturday afternoon, threats were made to blow up several malls simultaneously. This created a lot of panic. There were threats to blow up DLF Mall in Delhi, Ambience Mall in Gurugram and Inorbit Mall in Mumbai. After the threat, all three malls were evacuated and searched, but nothing was found. After this, police officials have started looking for the person who threatened. A similar situation arose in DLF Promenade and the mall was evacuated, but luckily there was no bomb anywhere and no accident occurred.
After receiving news of a bomb in Noida’s DLF Mall of India, the police reached the spot and the mall was evacuated. The entire mall was searched and after that the mall was opened to the public. Two Noida police officers have given different statements on this entire matter. The DCP of the area says that it was a security drill i.e. a mock drill. At the same time, the Joint CP of the area says that a faux mail was received regarding the Noida mall, so this entire search operation was conducted.
There was chaos in Mumbai too
There was chaos after a bomb threat was received at Inorbit Mall in Vashi, Navi Mumbai. After receiving the threat mail, police reached the spot and evacuated the entire mall. All the employees and customers gathered outside the mall. The bomb squad entered the mall, but nothing suspicious was found in the mall. Police investigation is ongoing. After receiving threatening mails in many big malls of the country, the officials have started identifying and searching for the sender of the mail. The bomb threat is fake.
The person who made a false threat on 15 August was caught
A man in Ahmedabad, Gujarat had called the police on August 15 and threatened to carry out a bomb blast. The crime branch on Wednesday detained a 24-year-old man who made the threat. The caller was upset over his studies and is not in a good mental state. A police officer said, “The accused allegedly called the police control room at around 1:24 pm and threatened to carry out a bomb blast on Independence Day.” The police traced the call on the basis of technical analysis and within a few hours took Kankaria into custody for questioning.
