New Delhi. The Bombay High Court has ordered the release of the juvenile accused in the Pune Porsche car accident case from the juvenile correction home. The court has granted bail to the minor and directed him to stay with his aunt. The incident took place in Pune, where a minor was allegedly driving a Porsche car under the influence of alcohol. The accident, which took place on May 19, tragically killed two IT professionals. The case attracted a lot of attention, especially when Juvenile Justice Board member L.N. Danvade initially granted bail to the minor with relatively lenient conditions, including writing a 300-word essay on road safety.
The high court has ordered that the minor be placed in the care and custody of her aunt. Additionally, the court has directed that the minor continue her sessions with a psychologist. The aunt had approached the high court alleging that the minor was illegally detained in the correctional home. In a related development, the police have detained the grandfather of the minor along with the parents and hospital staff involved in the case. Also, two more persons were arrested on Tuesday for allegedly dealing in the money between the accused doctors and the minor’s father, who was acting as a middleman in the process.
