new Delhi. The Union Health Ministry on Friday announced that from Sunday (April 10) at private immunization centers, eligible people above 18 years of age will be given a booster dose of COVID-19. All those who are over 18 years of age and have completed nine months after taking the second dose can receive a booster dose.
About 96 per cent of all over 15 population in the country have been given at least one COVID-19 vaccine, while 83 per cent people over 15 years have received both.
More than 2.4 crore booster doses have been given to healthcare workers, frontline workers and people above 60 years. Also, the first dose of COVID has been given to about 45 percent people in the age group of 12 to 14 years.
