Let us tell you that today Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a meeting regarding the Maharashtra-Karnataka border dispute. During this, Karnataka Home Minister Araga Gyanendra was also present along with Maharashtra Chief Minister Shinde, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis and Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai. After meeting Eknath Shinde over the border dispute, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that a border dispute had arisen between Karnataka and Maharashtra. For its solution, I had called Maharashtra CM and Deputy Chief Minister and Karnataka CM, Home Minister and senior colleagues here. The talks were held in a very good atmosphere with both the sides.
Apart from this, Amit Shah also said that until the Supreme Court takes a decision on this issue, no state will claim any other state in this regard. 3-3 ministers from both the sides will sit and discuss it. There are other issues between the two states as well, these ministers will also resolve them through mutual discussion and cooperation. After the meeting, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that I appeal to the opposition parties of Maharashtra and Karnataka not to politicize this issue. We must wait for the outcome of the discussions of the committee set up to resolve the issue and the decision of the Supreme Court. I am sure NCP and Congress Uddhav Thackeray group will help.
