Kerala Police has registered this case under section 354 and section 509 of IPC. On the matter, the superintendent of NEET examination center in Kollam clarified that ‘this complaint is fabricated and has been filed with wrong intention. The statement of the National Testing Agency / NTA, the organizer of the examination has also come to the fore on this controversy. According to the NTA, the center superintendent and independent supervisor as well as the city coordinator of Kollam district informed that they had been informed of any such incident at the NEET examination center (Mar Thoma Institute of Information Technology, Kollam), where the student took the exam. not found. NTA further stated that no such complaint has been received from anyone during or immediately after the examination. Further, the NTA said that “as regards the dress code of NTA for NEET, it does not permit any such activity as alleged by the parents of the candidate.”
In protest against this incident, various youth organizations had protested demanding action against the culprits, while on the other hand the Kerala State Human Rights Commission has also issued orders to investigate the incident.
