Let us tell you that BY Vijayendra is being projected as the political successor of his father BS Yediyurappa. However, there was speculation for a long time that he could be given a bigger responsibility by the party. Keeping in mind his efficient organizational style, the party has entrusted him with the responsibility. Note, in Karnataka, two castes are considered very important from the point of view of politics, the first of which is Lingayat and the second is Vokkaliga. While Lingayat population in the state is 17 percent, Vokkaliga is 12 percent.
