BSNL 4G Service
The wait for BSNL 4G service is going to end soon. The government telecom company can restore the fourth generation mobile network service simultaneously across the country. Also, the company seems fully prepared to trial 5G service. BSNL has recently achieved another milestone. The company has installed 15,000 new 4G sites in early August. These mobile towers have been installed under the Self-reliant India Initiative.
25 thousand 4G towers went live
With these 15,000 towers, the company has now made a total of 25,000 4G towers live across the country, due to which users will start getting superfast connectivity. According to a recent report, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited’s 4G service can be launched in October. The company has started the trial of 4G through all the newly installed towers. The company’s user base has seen tremendous growth in the last few weeks.
Due to the increase in mobile tariffs of private telecom companies, lakhs of users have ported their numbers to BSNL in the last one month. The company is providing MNP (Mobile Number Portability) facility by setting up camps in various telecom circles of the country. The company has now also started giving 5G ready SIM cards to its users, which shows that the company can now launch the new generation technology soon.
4G service will be launched this month
Recently, a senior official of the company has claimed that the trial of BSNL 4G network has been completed in all the telecom circles and big cities of the country. Now the time has come to launch it commercially. The company can soon start 4G trials in other cities of the country as well.
At present, the country’s two leading telecom companies Jio and Airtel are providing 5G service across the country. At the same time, Vi is currently providing 2G and 4G services. The government telecom company has not launched 4G service commercially. However, the company’s 4G network has gone live in many telecom circles of the country. Vi and BSNL are currently unable to compete with Jio and Airtel in terms of user numbers due to the old generation network.
