Bhilai. Illegal encroachments were broken by a massive campaign on Friday near Utai Road in Maroda Sector of Bhilai Steel Plant. In the presence of heavy police force, a total of 22 pucca and kadho shops were vandalized by the enforcement department staff of the plant. These occupants were evicted about two months back during the widening of the Durg-Utai road.
After this, he had re-occupied the BSP land just behind. The capture was done at the place from where the underground cable of 11 KV power of BSP has passed. Apart from this, there is also a pipeline at some distance. This could have resulted in a major accident.
The team of Enforcement Department under the Municipal Services Department of Bhilai Steel Plant took major action today. 22 illegal shops were vandalized by the team on Utai road in front of J pocket in Maroda sector. The action was started from 11 am today and lasted till 5.30 pm. The Enforcement Department has said that strict action will be taken against illegal cabbies in future also.
The construction was done fearlessly: The work of widening the Utai road is being done. People had illegally occupied the BSP land near Maitribagh Chowk in Maroda and made shops on both sides of the road. After the notice, in the month of December last, the Enforcement Department team of BSP Municipal Services Department, taking action in collaboration with the Public Administration, removed these illegal occupants.
After this, the said affected people re-occupied the BSP’s land after the drain built after the road. Here some even built paws. There, some had kept construction. During this, the BSP team also tried to stop them. Despite this, they did not agree, after this action was taken by the BSP with the help of the administration.

During the action, the officers also told that the main pipeline has come out from the filter plant of BSP at Maroda for the supply of water to the houses. Illegal construction has been done just above 300 mm size underground pipeline near Maitribagh in Maroda sector. Apart from this, illegal encroachment and construction have also been done on the high capacity cable of electricity which has been laid underground. Due to which the situation became dangerous. In the last round some people tried to protest but were chased away by the police force. On behalf of the police administration, the team was present under the leadership of Bhilai Nagar CSP Rakesh Joshi, Vaibhav Back, TI Bharti Markam, TI ML Shukla, TI Brijesh Kushwaha, TI Monika Pandey and TI Durgesh Sharma. Under the direction of Executive Magistrate Satendra Shukla, officers-employees of enforcement department of Bhilai Steel Plant, employees of electricity department were also in large numbers.

According to the Bhilai Steel Plant Management, the cable of underground power line for the township housing, Sector-9 hospital and plant has also been laid at many places. This line is of 11 kV capacity. Pucca and Kadha construction was done right above this cable by taking the above illegal occupation. Due to this the cable burst, it became difficult for immediate repair and power start.
Not only this, there was always the possibility of a major accident happening. Not only this, the water pipeline has also passed from here. In view of this, an order was passed by the Estate Court of BSP to remove the illegal constructions passed by these decrees. In view of this order, all the parties concerned were also instructed to remove their construction. Despite this, action was taken today for not removing the possession.
