Lucknow. Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati has reacted sharply to those doing politics in an atmosphere of solidarity across the country on the might of the Indian Army against terrorists in Pakistan. He has described the statements made by a BJP minister and a senior leader of the Samajwadi Party (SP) as “shameful and condemnable”. Mayawati tweeted from her official Twitter handle, saying, “The whole country is united and proud of the might of the Indian Army Operation Sindoor against the terrorists in Pakistan. In such a situation, it is very unfair to assess/share the army on the basis of religion and caste.” He said that this might of the army is a matter of pride for the whole country and it is unfair to make any kind of political comment on it.
He further said, “The mistake made by the BJP minister about this is the same by the senior SP leader today, which is shameful and condemnable.” Mayawati described the statements of the leaders of both parties as a demolition of the army and said that such statements are harmful to the unity and integrity of the country.
Mayawati through her tweet appealed to all political parties not to do politics on the might of the army and cooperate in maintaining the unity of the country. He said that the army works day and night for the security of the country and their valor should be respected.
Mayawati’s statement came at a time when some leaders of BJP and SP have given controversial statements about “Operation Sindoor”. There has been a sharp reaction across the country about these statements. Mayawati has made it clear from her statement that her party does not support any kind of politics on the might of the army.
