Bhilai. Incentive to the employees of Bhilai Steel Plant will be revised. For this the plant management has started preparations. INTUC Union gave this information in the executive meeting. It was claimed by the union that soon its gift would be available. Several topics were also discussed in the meeting.
INTUC Union’s executive meeting was held in Sector-3 office. General Secretary SK Baghel said that on the demand of INTUC Union, INTUC had a meeting with Anirban Dasgupta Director-in-Charge on October 8 last year to reform the 14-year-old incentive scheme. During this, there was a demand to make a new incentive scheme.
The incentive scheme was made in 2007. During this time man power was around 32 thousand and labor productivity was 340 tonnes per person. Today the man power of Bhilai Steel Plant is around 14 thousand, the labor productivity is 489 tonnes per person. INTUC Union is demanding since 2007 till now Rs 3240 is the maximum incentive. INTUC Union demanded to make a new incentive scheme of Rs 10,500. Due to which there will be financial benefit to the employees. INTUC claimed that on the demand of the union, the management has started the process of formulating a new incentive scheme.

INTUC Deputy General Secretary Avinash Sweat said that as soon as the recognition elections come, small unions become active. For two years they have nothing to do with the interests of the employees. Senior Secretary CP Verma said that the unions who are opposing the new promotion policy do not want the employees to be promoted.
It is their intention that the employees should remain in the same post for the entire service life. The union which was recognized twice by the employees of Bhilai Steel Plant did not do any work for the employees during its recognition period. Now that INTUC is doing union, she. Today, the new promotion policy has been implemented in about 23 departments. The employees are happy with it.
