The Bharatpur Development Authority (BDA) and the municipal team along with the administration on Wednesday took action to remove encroachments in the city. Meanwhile, encroachment was removed from the area from Govardhan Gate to Red Cross Circle. There is a 60 feet long road from Govardhan Gate to Red Cross Circle, which is planned to widen 80 feet wide. The Municipal Corporation had already issued notices to the encroachers, after which some people voluntarily removed the encroachment. But action was taken against those who did not remove it today. Although people protested during this period, but the situation did not deteriorate due to the presence of a large number of police forces and action was completed.
Steps for implementation of master plan
BDA Commissioner Prateek Juikar said, “According to the master plan, there is an 80 -foot road from Govardhan Gate to Red Cross Circle, on which people have encroached by making shops on both sides.” We had earlier issued notice to remove this encroachment and after the deadline ended today, the action of bulldozers has been taken.
‘Those who removed the encroachment themselves, no action was taken against them’
Meanwhile, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Shravan Kumar Vishnoi said, “There is an encroachment of 10 feet on the road from Govardhan Gate to Red Cross Circle, for which notices were issued to the encroachers several times in the past.” But final action was taken against encroachment on Wednesday. Those who were removing encroachments themselves have been released at the moment, but those who did not remove the encroachment were demolished with the help of JCB of the Municipal Corporation.
More than 70 shops were demolished from 5 JCB
During this time the encroachers opposed the encroachment, but the police chased them away. The BDA and Municipal Corporation administration with the help of 5 JCBs and 12 tractor trolleys removed the encroachment by demolishing more than 70 shops on the roadside.
