Agra. Around two dozen passengers were injured when a bus fell into a 12 feet deep gorge near Jamalnagar Bhains village in Agra, Uttar Pradesh.
According to the police, the driver of the bus coming from Jalesar to Agra lost control of the vehicle, leading to the accident on Saturday evening.
Police said the injured passengers were taken to SN Medical College for treatment and they are out of danger.
Meanwhile, angry at the delay in the arrival of the ambulance to the accident spot, some local residents overturned the police vehicle.
SP (West) Satyajit Gupta said that there were around 80 passengers in the bus and the driver and the operator fled from the spot after the accident.
He said that two FIRs have been registered in the case, one for accident and the other against anti-social elements who are involved in creating ruckus and causing damage to public property.
