Amravati. Two people were killed and 15 others were injured in a road accident in Andhra Pradesh’s Anantapur district on Friday. The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) bus, which was on its way from Bangalore to Hyderabad, collided with a stopped truck near Miduthuru village in Peddavadgur mandal of Anantapur, police said.
Bus and truck drivers were killed in this collision, while 15 others were injured.
Police reached the spot and started rescue and relief operation. The injured were taken to a private hospital in Anantapur.
The deceased have been identified as GV Reddy, TSRTC bus driver and truck driver Sakatram Yadav. Police have registered a case and started further investigation.
Meanwhile, two persons were killed and 8 others were injured in another accident in Kurnool district.
According to police, the accident took place when the driver lost control of the vehicle after which a car rammed into a road divider near Nannur in Oravakallu mandal.
The car was going from Tirupati to Mahbubnagar in Telangana. The injured have been admitted to the local hospital.
