It is being told that this substance recovered by Bihar Police is Californium, which is used to make atom bombs. Although it has many other uses, but it is considered very sensitive. Californium is a banned radioactive substance. In India, the common man cannot buy or sell it. In such a situation, a special team of FSL has been called to investigate this Californium-like substance recovered from Gopalganj. Apart from this, a team of scientists from Bhabha Research Center of Mumbai has also been called to Gopalganj.
Police arrested three accused
There is so much uproar over this substance recovered from Gopalganj in Bihar because it was being smuggled. Bihar Police has arrested 3 accused with 50 grams of suspected Californium from the UP border. The value of 50 grams of Californium seized by the police is said to be Rs 850 crore. The accused caught by the police include a smuggler and two liners. The main accused Chhote Lal Prasad is a resident of Kushinagar district of UP, while both the liners caught are from Gopalganj. According to the information, the accused were coming to Bihar with Californium from Gujarat, but Bihar Police got a clue of this and a team was formed and the car of the accused was stopped. During the search of the car, the police found suspected Californium, after which the police arrested all three accused. It is being told that the smugglers caught were trying to sell Californium for the last several months.
Several teams were called for investigation
According to the police, the lab test report of Californium has also been recovered from the accused, which is from IIT Madras. However, IIT Madras has denied issuing any such certificate and has called it completely fake. At the same time, it is also being investigated whether the Californium seized from Gopalganj is correct or wrong. Bihar Police has contacted the Department of Atomic Energy to investigate the suspicious Californium. A special team of FSL has been called to investigate this. Apart from this, a team of scientists from Bhabha Research Center of Mumbai has also been called to Gopalganj. Apart from this, the police is also investigating smuggling, handling and links related to it. Gopalganj Police has also contacted Pondicherry Police. The police wants to know how the smugglers caught were able to buy such an expensive substance. Is there a big gang involved in this?

There are only 24 synthetic elements in the whole world, Californium is one of them. Special shipping containers are required for its transportation. Californium element was first created in 1950 by a team from the University of California, Berkeley. In India, Californium can be obtained only from the Bhabha Atomic Research Center in Mumbai.
